Billmonitor is disabling Bill Analysis
In recent weeks, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to disable our consumer Bill Analysis service.
About Bill Analysis
The Bill Analysis service has been running for many years and it has helped thousands of our valued customers understand their mobile usage and save money, so we are very sorry that we have had to make the decision to turn off the service.
Knowing about your mobile phone usage is key when choosing a new tariff, which is why we’ve provided the Bill Analysis service free of charge. We truly believe that all consumers should be able to access this information to enable them to find the most suitable mobile deals.
Why shut it down?
Recently, many networks have implemented additional security measures, for example enabling two-factor authentication on their websites, or blocking automated access entirely.
While we encourage good security practices, it has made it much more difficult for us to extract the information we need to run a Bill Analysis.
This, combined with the fact that switching rates in the market are so low, has meant that the service is no longer viable.
What does this mean for me?
If you’ve previously run a Bill Analysis with us, you’ll still be able to log in and view your analysis. However, we will no longer update this analysis with your new bills.
If you’ve not previously run a Bill Analysis, you will no longer be able to get one.
Our Ofcom-Approved calculator is still available, and you can use this to find the best deals for you. However, you will need to estimate your usage on your own. We will continue to keep our eye on the consumer market and will post any information we feel is relevant on our blog.
We want to say a big thank you to all of our users, we loved to read your feedback throughout the years and we hope those of you that have used Bill Analysis found it helpful.
