FAQ

Does Billmonitor take account of my mobile phone insurance and can I keep my insurance when changing contracts?

<< Billmonitor recommendations and results

Unfortunately, we do not currently include mobile phone insurance in our bill analysis or recommendations.

Typically, mobile phone insurance can either be independent of your current contract or closely tied in – so it’s difficult to know if it can be transferred. Usually, it can’t. You would need to read the terms of your current mobile phone insurance to know for sure and we recommend all customers review their mobile insurance terms closely when making any kind of contract switch, either within or between networks.

Also bear in mind, to save yourself extra money, that many household contents insurances automatically cover mobile phones, which might render your additional phone insurance unnecessary. Always check that the excess on your insurance is acceptable and doesn’t exceed the actual value of your phone!
